Ingredients

  • 4 cups Watermelon, cubed and seeds removed
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lime or lemon juice
  • 4-5 fresh mint leaves
  • 1-2 tbsp. honey or agave syrup
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

Prepare the Watermelon

  • Start by cutting the watermelon into small, manageable cubes. It makes it easier to blend when cut in small cubes. Remove any seeds to ensure a smooth juice.

Blend It Up

  • Place the watermelon cubes in a blender. Add the fresh lime or lemon juice for a hint of citrusy brightness. Also, add 4-5 mint leaves.

Sweeten to Taste

  • Depending on the sweetness of your watermelon, ad honey or agave syrup to the blender. Start with 1 tablespoon and adjust according to your preference. Blend until smooth.

Strain (optional)

  • For a smoother juice, you can strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp. If you enjoy a bit of texture, you can skip this step.

Chill and Server

  • Transfer the watermelon juice to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Server over ice cubes if desired. Before serving, garnish watermelon juice with fresh mint leaves. This adds a burst of freshness and lovely aroma.

Notes

  • Make sure to pick a watermelon that is flat from one end and has yellow spots. It is supposed too be sweeter then the rest.
  • Cutting watermelon in one inch cubes makes it easier and faster to blend.
  • Add additional sweetener if your watermelon is not sweet.
  • I would recommend straining the juice before you serve to discard all the fibers from watermelon.
  • Add a pinch of Himalayan salt (Black salt) for additional flavor.
