Sweetening the Chai

  • Add 2-3 tbsp. of sugar, adjusting to your preferred level of sweetness. Stir well until the sugar dissolves completely.

Straining the Chai

  • Once the chai reaches a rich, golden color, strain it into your favorite cup or teapot. This ensures a smooth, flavorful chai without the tea leaves or spices.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Garnish your masala chai with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon stick for an extra touch. Pair it with your favorite snacks and enjoy!

Notes

  • Whole-milk can be substituted with Cashew milk, low fat milk or Oat milk.
  • Powdered spices can be used instead of whole spices.
  • Sugar can be substituted with Maple syrup or Honey and also adjusted per your taste.
  • I like to use half and half ratio of water and milk, but you can add less water, more milk or no water, just milk for more richness.
