- 1 cup water
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp. black tea granules
Spices
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 5-6 green Cardamom pods, crushed
- 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
- 2-3 Cloves
- 3-4 fresh mint leaves

Infusing the Spices
Toss in the crushed cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, and grated ginger into the simmering tea. Allow the spices to meld with the tea, releasing their fragrant notes.
Straining the Chai
Once the chai reaches a rich, golden color, strain it into your favorite cup or teapot. This ensures a smooth, flavorful chai without the tea leaves or spices.
- Whole-milk can be substituted with Cashew milk, low fat milk or Oat milk.
- Powdered spices can be used instead of whole spices.
- Sugar can be substituted with Maple syrup or Honey and also adjusted per your taste.
- I like to use half and half ratio of water and milk, but you can add less water, more milk or no water, just milk for more richness.
