Kesar Mango Lassi

Kesar Mango Lassi makes it great drink for hot summer days. It is absolutely impossible to walk out of an Indian restaurant without having a glass of Mango Lassi. It is a yogurt-based drink, which is very popular in Northern parts of India. Traditional lassi is namkeen lassi (savory), which is blend of yogurt, water and pinch of salt.

Lassi comes in many different variations sweet lassi, savory lassi or a fruit-infused lassi. Mango lassi is one of the most popular and delicious lassi of all. Since mangoes are not found all year round, it can be still enjoyed with mango pulp or canned mangoes instead. Canned Mango pulp are available at any of the local Indian grocery store or it can also be purchased on Amazon
It has a lot of health benefits. Saffron makes your skin glow and also prevents cold and cough. Since it is a yogurt based drink, it makes it a good probiotic drink, that will help you with stomach bloating and help grow healthy bacteria.
My favorite is kesar mango lassi – fresh mangoes with greek yogurt, vanilla ice-cream, saffron, cardamom powder and water. Blend it all together with some crush ice, and it’s perfect drink for hot summer days. Add some protein powder and there you have it, a great after-workout drink !
